Charges drawn up against Musharraf
ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s ruling coalition has prepared impeachment charges against President Pervez Musharraf focusing on violation of the constitution and misconduct, a coalition official said yesterday. Speculation has been mounting that former army chief and firm US ally Musharraf would quit after the coalition government, led by the party of assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, said last week it planned to impeach him. — Reuters.

Emad Darwish, head of el-Shatbi hospital says the 27-year-old Ghazala Khamis is now in stable condition, though she did require a blood transfusion during the Caesarean section because of bleeding. Darwish said yesterday that the newborns, four boys and three girls, had been placed in incubators in four different hospitals since they were premature. — AP. Prosecutors say Menem was responsible for the blast that killed seven people at an arsenal.
